Happy Chinese New Year 2022

History of Chinese new year celebration

The new year concept had existed in other countries, before the emergence of the Chinese new year. But Chines people decided to celebrate the harvest season as their ancestors did. This is why it is named “the new year” celebration and it is called Nian. The concept of the Chinese ceremony goes back almost to the Woody emperor who registered this day in history. The Chinese new year’s ceremony commonly lasts 15 days and it ends with the lantern celebration. Chinese ceremony is celebrated in countries with the most Chinese population, such as China, Taiwan, South Korea, North Korea, Malesia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore.
